The Punjab government has requested information on the legislative agenda for the upcoming assembly session, prompting a sharp reaction from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in what appears to be yet another clash between the Raj Bhavan and the AAP government. The new development comes after governor Banwari Lal Purohit halted the Mann-led regime's proposal to call a special assembly session to present solely a "confidence motion." "The next governor will require that all remarks be authorized by him as well. It's excessive. The permission of the Governor/President before each session of the Legislature is only a formality. In 75 years, no President or Governor has ever requested a list of Legislative business before convening a session. The BAC (Business Advisory Committee of the House) and the Speaker decide on legislative business "Bhagwant Mann said.
