Cyclone Yakecan strikes Uruguay and Brazil with winds of up to 100 km/h | #ciclone brasil

On May 17, Cyclone Yakecan made landfall on the coasts of Uruguay and southern Brazil, where it could cross nearly 40 cities on its way.

The orange alert, the second in severity in the Uruguayan scheme, was issued for the southern half of the country, although weather conditions deteriorated especially in the departments of Maldonado and Rocha, on the Atlantic coast.
