Heavy freezing rain and sleet fell across Northcentral Pennsylvania during the overnight hours. Heavy rain soaked snow on the ground and caused a lot of water to flood roads, streets and yards. Many farm fields are full of water and creeks are very muddy and icy.
Multiple vehicle accidents occurred along I-180 between Montoursville and Muncy, with many other accidents occuring on roads all across Lycoming County, due icy roads, thankfully no injuries were reported. PennDOT plow and salt trucks have been working non-stop for over a day to prepare the roads and now clear the roads.
