Prince Harry’s ‘explosive’ comments in his book Spare lay bare just how bad relations had become between Prince Harry and his brother William. That’s the view of Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden, speaking to our royal talk show Palace Confidential, adding that Harry’s ‘serious allegations’ are made all the worse as the family won’t engage with them. ‘Of course it’s completely one-sided. We haven’t heard Prince William’s side of this, it could be very different indeed,’ he tells Palace Confidential. ‘But it’s really bad. We knew things were bad between them, we knew they’d had arguments, but we never knew that things had got to this, physical level.’
His comments come as the programme looks ahead to what 2023 might hold for the Windsors. The Daily Mail’s Editor at Large Richard Kay examines what changes King Charles – who has long wanted a ‘slimmed-down monarchy’ – might bring to the institution. Meanwhile Rebecca English examines how the new Prince and Princess of Wales will look to grow into and cement their new more senior role in the Royal Family. Plus Daily Mail columnist, and the Queen’s biographer, Robert Hardman looks at what we can expect from this summer’s major event, the King’s coronation.
