Bee industry buzzing with excitement about new vaccine to protect crops

Bees are as critical to making honey as they are to pollinating crops, as Statistics Canada says the insects contribute over three billion dollars to the agriculture industry every year.

But the pollinators remain vulnerable to bacterial diseases, which can wipe out entire colonies.

Global's Mike Drolet reports on a newly developed vaccine approved by the U.S. to keep honeybees healthy and about the Canadian researchers looking to make a buzz of their own.
