Narrative from Cabot, Arkansas Police Officer (edited for brevity) -
On October 6th, at around 2139 hours, Cabot officers received a hit in regards to a maroon Chevy Tahoe that recently fled from other Cabot officers on the 30th of September. The officers were not successful at apprehending

Officer Marcks(driver) and FTO Starks(passenger) was in the area of S.2nd street and noticed a vehicle matching the vehicle description, pulling into the Valero(3052 S.2nd Street) and confirmed that the fictitious tags were
displayed. FTO Starks noticed the driver was a black Male wearing a beige/tan hoodie, go inside of the store. Both officers then exited their patrol units in attempt to make contact with the driver once he exited the store. The driver then exited the store, sat in the driver seat of the maroon Chevy Tahoe and at that point, both officers made contact with the male. FTO Starks knocked on the window at which point the suspect acknowledged that FTO Starks was a police officer. FTO Starks then opened the passenger side door to speak with the male, at which point, the
male placed his vehicle in drive. FTO Starks yelled to the male “don’t you do it!, don’t you do it!” and sped off while FTO Starks’ right hand was still holding onto the inside of the passenger side door, resulting in FTO Starks being drug approximately 5 to 10 feet prior to letting go and rolling on the ground.
The suspect drove southbound on SH 67/167 from the exit 16 SB onramp at speeds with an access of 115 mph. The suspect drove with no regards to the public safety and near collided into the rear of another vehicle who was also traveling southbound on SH 67/167.
Arkansas State Police took primary and stopped the suspect vehicle after a PIT maneuver. The suspect was identified as Mallory Lawson (05/09/2000). Officers learned that Lawson had an active felony warrant out of Lonoke County and his DL was suspended.
Lawson did not complain of any injuries and was subsequently transported to the Cabot PD where suspected marijuana was located inside of his pants pocket.
