Fiona Brings Hurricane Conditions to Puerto Rico

Fiona will bring hurricane conditions to Puerto Rico today. This is NOT a Maria or Dorian, but this will be a prolonged, life-threatening flooding event. Every storm is different. This will produce over 20 inches of rain in spots and lead to rockslides, mudslides, and extreme river flooding. The Virgin Islands will have tropical storm conditions.

Tropical storm conditions will be likely for the eastern Dominican Republic later today. Fiona will track toward the Turks & Caicos then eventually near Bermuda, where it could be a major hurricane.
