Marcial: Reyes needs to ensure availability of international players

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial shares the developments regarding Gilas Pilipinas in preparation for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

This includes ensuring, in writing, that players currently in foreign leagues will be available for Gilas Pilipinas next year.
Major basketball leagues, including the PBA, expressed their commitment to the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas to have the best team possible for 2023.

The PBA declared it would conduct only two conferences next season to give Gilas Pilipinas three months to prepare for the World Cup. Ginebra coach Tim Cone will also join the Gilas coaching staff, along with UP coach Goldwyn Monteverde, Jong Uichico, and Nenad Vucinic.
