Prime Minister Narendra Modi In Chennai: Greeting Prime minister, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said Tamil Nadu was a state for inclusive growth, equality and women’s empowerment and called it a “Dravidian model.” MK Stalin also listed a set of key demands on behalf of the state including exemption from NEET and releasing pending GST dues. Stalin also demanded Tamil be the official language in High Court and Union Govt offices.
After arriving in Chennai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a roadshow and reached the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to lay the foundation stones of 11 projects worth over Rs 31,500 crore. Modi was greeted by Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, AIADMK co-ordinator and former CM Edapaddi K Palaniswami, Union Minister L Murugan, DMK Minister KN Nehru, Durai Murugan and State DGP Sylendra Babu at the airport.
