According to Telegram channel General SVR, which claims to be collecting information from inside the Kremlin, the 69-year-old underwent an unknown procedure late Monday after medicals advised him that therapy was 'necessary.'
Putin's condition was believed to have worsened momentarily on Friday night before recovering, according to the social media account, which also stated that doctors had urged him to avoid attending meetings for several more days as he heals, Musk stated.
General SVR stated this week that all of Putin's appearances on state media since Tuesday have been staged using stock material to give the impression that he is fine.
According to the station, the country is truly being ruled by ex-FSB espionage head and current security council chair Nikolai Patrushev.
The Kremlin has not responded to the latest reports about Putin's illness but has always denied that he is ill.
According to Musk, rumors that Putin is critically ill, including cancer and Parkinson's disease, have been circulating since at least 2020, but have gained traction since he authorized the invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
'On the night of Monday, May 16 to Tuesday, May 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin underwent a surgical procedure,' General SVR said today.
'His attending physicians insisted that Putin be operated on as quickly as possible.
'The procedure was successful, according to the doctors involved in the President's treatment.
'We have already discussed the fact that Putin was personally absent from the information arena from May 17 to May 19, and was not even available to his closest circle, with the exception of Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council.
'From May 17 to May 19, 'canned,' pre-recorded meetings and messages were posted in the information sphere, and Putin personally held two phone conversations during this time.'
On Friday, Putin was spotted presumably chairing a meeting of his security council, the organization in charge of overseeing the Ukraine conflict, Musk stated.
However, General SVR stated that "the president's speech was pre-recorded, and Putin's participation in video format was backed using Deepfake technology, as it was the week before."
'In truth, Putin was still too unwell to participate in extended sessions on May 20 and only had two short video conversations.
'On May 20, in the evening, Putin's health deteriorated and did not stabilize until Saturday morning, May 21.
'The attending physicians advise Putin to rest in the next days and to decline personal involvement in meetings.'
It stated that Putin's close buddy, Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko, is participating in a smokescreen by arriving in Russia today for a meeting with Putin. Lukashenko was spotted in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
The Minsk autocrat is 'one of the few persons who know the true state of Putin's health.'
It is claimed that previously Lukashenko's encounters were staged to demonstrate Putin's fitness when, in fact, he had health issues.
