Australia SUPPORTS Ukraine with MRAP Bushmasters
Australia has declared that the Bushmaster PMV armored vehicles will be handed over to Ukraine.
The armored Bushmaster vehicles will be sent to Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelenskyi expressly requested them in an appeal to Australia's parliament on March 31, 2022, requesting greater assistance in Ukraine's battle against Russia.
The vehicles would be carried across by Boeing C-17 Globemaster transport planes, the Australian Prime Minister told reporters.
"We're not only sending our prayers; we're sending our guns, our ammunition, our humanitarian help, and our body armor," Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated.
Thales Australia's Bushmaster defensive mobility vehicle is an Australian MRAP.
The Bushmaster is meant to defend up to ten soldiers and combines great blast and ballistic protection with exceptional off-road mobility.
Over 1,000 MRAPs are in Australia's fleet.
It went into mass production in 2005.
At any given moment, a maximum of four armored vehicles can be loaded onto the C-17.
