Lynx Vs Cougar
The cougar is a much bigger cat than the lynx, but never underestimate the lynx because it is a ferocious predator and you can see in this video, even though it’s backing up, it’s holding its ground. The cougar is careful and doesn’t insist because it knows what it is up against. These two engage in a pile of snow, and even though it’s a serious fight, perhaps, because of the snow, it almost seems like they are playing. A cougar teases a lynx in the depths of winter.
Despite their smaller size than cougars, lynxes are fierce predators. You can see what I mean when the cougar attempts to attack the lynx. The lynx resists the cougar, forcing it to flee. While the lynx backs away, the cougar sharpens his claws on tree bark. The cougar rethinks his business plan and looks for something more enjoyable to do.
Lion Vs Tiger
This thumbnail is spectacular, but it’s obvious this did not occur for real because lions and tigers do not live in the same parts of the world. However, that doesn’t mean they never meet, because man has a way of making sure they do. This footage is from a 1933 film featuring a tiger and lion fighting. This appears to be the raw version, although I'm not sure if it's accurate. The fight is quite even, but it is a film, and who knows what kind of standards they had about wild animals in films back then. Perhaps they let them fight for real. Another black and white clip has a tiger and lion involved in a violent fight.
This looks like the real deal and once again, it’s evenly matched. I'm not sure who thought putting this tiger in the same enclosure as these lions was a smart idea, but a fight ensues, and it appears to be rather evenly matched. However, I'm not sure why the female lions attempted to bite the male lion. According to rumors, the conflict began when the tiger wanted to date one of the ladies, and the lion persuaded him to take a walk, which he refused, resulting in a terrible fight.
