The opening ceremony for the Beijing Winter Olympics ran for about 20 minutes before athletes started their parade into the Bird’s Nest stadium. The ceremony showcased performers with colourful LED lights and projected animations before the Olympic flame was transferred to the snowflake-shaped cauldron.
