I bought my mom a home with half my net worth

I finally bought my mom a home! I used half of my net worth, earnings that have come from freelancing, and invested in a home for my mom. I was so overjoyed to be able to do this for her. This may have happened in 2020, but I feel like it was just yesterday when my fiancé and I surprised her. Everyone wants to buy their parents a home and although I was saving up for my future. I found it more important to use half my net worth to invest in a home for her. She absolutely deserved it! I would do it all over again. My tips for saving: stash a specific amount of money away in an online savings account on the first of the month, lower your expenses and/or raise your income. I bought my mom a home with half my net worth by using my freelance earnings. If I can go from making only $5/hour as a freelancer to this, what's stopping you from doing it?
